Good Time Music Fundraiser for Montvale Rec Club
November 30, 2011
Get some holiday Blue Moonshine on Saturday, December 17 at the Montvale Rec Club. They’re trying to raise money for some building improvements, so come on out and flatfoot until you rub blisters in your Christmas stockings!
Occupy the Fork!
November 1, 2011
Join us at the Fork in the City on Saturday night, November 5 from 8 till they shut us down!
And we’re still going strong with our every-other-Sundays at the Fork in the Alley — we’ll be there at least through November (the 13th and 27th, from 5-8), and maybe longer weather-permitting.
We’re working on booking more winter gigs — stay tuned!
The Lonesome Fugitive

In Jail Again *Live*

A mighty fine Will Farmer original. You can find it on our first album, New Mountain Music, on iTunes.
Every Other Sunday at Fork in the Alley
May 16, 2011
It’s that time of year again! Join us every other Sunday afternoon from 4-7 at Roanoke’s Fork in the Alley brick oven pub!
We’ve been doing this Sunday series for a couple of years now, and it’s always a great time. We sit out on the covered patio, enjoy a few Roanoke Railhouse beers, and make good time music for you!
If you get confused as to which Sunday we’re playing, never fear — it’s listed on the Fork in the Alley website, and, better yet, our good friends Acoustic Endeavors are there on the other Sundays!
Remember, the weekend isn’t over until you stick a fork in it!
Spring Gig Season Thank You Note
May 16, 2011
We’ve been busy with a lot of private gigs so far this spring, and we’ve made lots of new friends and made lots of good time music. Here’s a great big public thank you note to the great folks at Meridium, the Blue Ridge Marathon, the Roanoke Academy of Medicine Alliance, Roanoke College, and Washington & Lee University class of ’81!
And to cap it off, we went to see Chris Thile & Michael Daves at the Down By the River festival in Roanoke this weekend. They’ve got a great new record — and so do we!
If you’re throwing a party or event, we’d love to be the good time music part of it! Blue Moonshine booking
Distilled
April 5, 2011
We’re excited to release our new EP, Distilled, to you, our friends and fans. Listen and buy via the player in the sidebar, or by visiting the Blue Moonshine bandcamp site directly.
We’ll have physical CDs for sale at our upcoming gigs, and we’ll let you know when it’s available on iTunes and Amazon, too. But, right now, for just $5 (or more, if you’re feeling like a true patron of the arts), you can download 5 songs we’re proud of.
Thanks for listening, y’all.
Our new friend Dee Dee of Dee Dee’s Vintage in the UK just gave us a “live tweeted” review of our upcoming EP! She liked it, she really liked it! You can really like it, too, next Tuesday, April 5!
“Finally listening to your EP – sounds great! Had to wait till I was back in the office as my laptop’s broken.”
“Listening to Your Love Is On My Mind now – it’s lovely. Will tell you when I’ve heard the whole EP!”
“I love Seeds and Stems, the vocals sound a bit like Gene Clark who is one of my fave singers ever!”
“Sinking Down is great – I think it’s my favourite. It has a such a beautiful bittersweet feeling.”
